The Chattanooga Trip

I taught summer school to have a little money to maybe steal a few days at the beach with my little family of four. (Well and for the experience and other reasons...) But you know how life happens (new tires realizing you are a grown up and should be more financially responsible and put money into saving etc.) so we decided an overnighter in Chattanooga would be a great fit for our active littles and our budget! I am so thankful for that decision! We had an absolute blast. And there are a million pictures to prove it!
For Adam and I the trip was highlighted by food! Chattanooga is all about local ingredients when possible and you could taste the difference. It was yummy. This was our first stop. Good Dog. Best hot dogs ever. I could really write a post on the food.

That is little man appreciating his hot dog.

And Big Man playing with his.

My man loved it too.

Then it was ice cream time at Clumpies. Made on site. Delicious.

Then we walked over to Coolidge Park to ride the  beautiful 187 year old carousel and play in the fountains.

Chattanooga is so pretty and there is so much to do!

We spent the rest of the day at the Tennessee Aquarium. Petting sharks visiting with penguins, and playing in the water.

Unfortunately the boys were very captivated by these snakes. Yuck.

May have been their favorite part.

Breakfast at the Chattanooga Choo Choo.

It got a universal seal of approval.

Oh brothers.

Model train museum.

Riding the train! Both boys loved this!

Only family photo.

Children's Discovery Museum! Lots of fun interactive displays.

Then we headed home. Full and happy! What a fun city for a quick and active get away. If you happen to go on a visit I have several yummy suggestions :)
