We have an Elf. His name is Buckley. When I was little my mom had these little elves she would put up. They belonged to her mom who would hide them in the house to be found by the little ones. We choose to do Elf on the Shelf. It is cute and harmless. Although we put a little spin on it. Noah got a note from Santa asking Noah to show Buckley how to be kind to others and to teach him about Jesus. He isn't too crazy but the boys love him. Even Miller. The boys model kindness and even started a kindness jar for Buckley.

I agree Carrie! I think its harmless and fun and we can still teach our kids the true meaning of Christmas while enjoying a little elf as well.
