Day Six- Today I am thankful for weddings.
I am thankful for the celebration that a wedding is. For the love that inspires them. For the metaphor of a wedding and God's love for his bride. For reminding me of my love for Adam and the vows we made. I am thankful for the chance to catch up with old friends at weddings. I am thankful for the self expression found in the details of weddings. And of course for wedding cake. Yum.
Day Seven- Today I am thankful for forgiveness.
I am going to be really honest here. Sometimes I am so sure and secure in God's grace and forgiveness for me that I lack the humility to realize how desperate I am for it. I am so grateful that God forgives me of my pride. I am grateful for the forgiveness of others. I am grateful that God gives me the strength to forgive others.
Noah is thankful for books and Spots.

I am especially thankful that little boys like to play in the dirt! When I showed Noah my garden that had been destroyed by a new sewer line, he saw it as a wonderful new playground with unlimited play potential. I guess that makes me thankful for new perspective on problems.
