The Fourth of July

We had a great time celebrating America this Fourth! On the third we had a family picnic at the Homewood Park. My Mom and Dad rented a pavilion in the evening and invited our families for a BBQ picnic. Of course many photos were taken! Noah was not really into having his picture taken. The weather really was good. It could have been much hotter. It was fun to see all the cousins having a good time together. Noah loved having both his Mimi and Nana to play with. In fact he told me later that was his favorite part. My favorite part was being with my growing family and just soaking it all in.

On the 4th we headed back to Tuscaloosa for a unofficial Bristolwood Block party. We shared fireworks, homemade ice cream and other yummy treats. The kids had so much fun! Unfortunately Noah was scared to death and wanted just to hide out in the car!

I am so thankful to live in this country, we may have problems but we are so blessed! The Fourth of July is a time for me to remember to pray for our nation and its leaders and to give thanks for all those who have and do work to protect all that we have.
