The Giving Thanks Post Tuesday Edition

I am thankful for Honeycrisp apples. I have always loved apples. Apple pie. Applesauce. It symbolizes fall and school. And in my opinion Honeycrisp are the best. The perfect fruit. Available for a limited time. I look forward to checking the grocery store for them. And I love eating them. Tart, very juicy, sweet. Yum. I love them. And every time I think of Honeycrisp Apples I think of my friend Rhetta who introduced me to them. She and I began teaching at Bryant together. She and God pulled me through my crazy first year. And then we got to be classroom neighbors the next year. Just in time for a surprise pregnancy that made me very sick. And again God and Rhetta pulled me through. She has since moved to Texas and we don't stay in touch that well (my fault) but I never eat a Honeycrisp Apple without thanking God for my apple and my friend!
