The Books
Over Thanksgiving I did a lot of reading! A LOT. I am friends with some English teachers and on my way out of the building on Friday (possibly the worst day of my teaching career) they said, "Hey over the break lets go see the Twilight movie. Carrie you'll have to read the book first. You shouldn't have any trouble, its a quick read." Well I love movies. And I love to go see them with friends. And I love to read. My sister Emily had read the books at the beach so I knew she had the first one to lend me. I was a little wary. Vampire books??? Really? But I wanted to go to the movies. So after the birthday party I began reading Twilight. And then I read the other three. That's close to 2800 pages. And then I read the online partial draft of the fifth book. I don't have time to read!!! But I did and now there is the void. Its over. I've read all there is to read about Bella and Edward. When I read a lot all of the thoughts in my head narrate my every move. "and now the young tired mother took the top off the sippy cup and lovingly poured mixed fruit juice into her son's cup knowing full well he would throw it on the floor." Does that happen to you?? And then there is the desire to write my own book. Its always like that after one of my reading binges. I just don't have anything to write about! So instead you get a random post about the Twilight Seris and how I don't have anything else to read. Except essays, tests, projects and lesson plans on WWII. I really should go get on that!

HAHAHA, this sums up my last 2 weeks! I just finished the first book. It took me a while b/c I literally NEVER have time to read. I had to con Brent into letting me ride on the rides to and from Dothan. I TOTALLY do the same thing with narrating my own life. That made me laugh!
The brown haired teacher ignores her loud students as they come in from lunch. She holds on desperately to the last few seconds of her lunch to type a hasty reply to her friend Lindsey, " I love them. There is a void in my life without any more to read. I think the middle two are my favorite. Have you seen the movie? I haven't yet, but I want to soon. "
As I sit in my room, a little cooler than normal, I ponder over the wonder that is Twilight. I say to myself, "I really want to go to the theater to see Twilight, but alas, if I have no one to go with, how much fun will it be. Oh, I hope that I do have someone to go with."
Carrie, we should go see it together next week!! I've been dying to see the movie (although I fear it will not live up to the book)
Lindsey, you say when and I am there!
I am so glad you read them!!! I loved the first and last ones the most. And I am sad that it is over too.
Go see the movie. The book is better (always!) but the movie is really entertaining. I love Edward. Hottie vampire:)
Ok, how about Monday night?
Yes! Monday night. I am there. I'll call you tomorrow to make arrangements. I am so excited!!
