The Auburn Trip

Dear Noah,
This past weekend we took you on your first visit to Auburn. I love Auburn. It holds a very special place in my heart. It is where I fell deeper in love with God, where I learned to love and listen to Him on my own apart from my parents guidance. It is where my desire to follow him was tested and solidified. It is where I fell in love with friendship. I formed new friendships and strengthened old ones. It is where I learned to love myself, where I gained self confidence and self esteem. It is where I met and fell in love with your father. Auburn is where I grew up and took steps towards becoming the person God wants me to grow into. When I step out of the car on visits I breathe deep and feel at home. I love Auburn for how I grew there, the people I met, the lessons I learned and the family I became a part of. I pray that you will one day have a place that makes you feel the same way. A home away from home where God grows and nurtures you when I am not there to do so. In the meantime I will take you to Auburn so I can share with you my special place and memories. I love you Noah. War Eagle!!
Love, Mom

Auburn A-Day

Noah was pretty tuckered out with all the photos and people watching at the game. Puddin's shoulder provides the perfect napping place.

Adam tried to point out the new offense to Noah but he was more interested in his hands.

We got in line to take photos at two of the most photographed place in Auburn.

Nana and Puddin' were thrilled to take Noah to Auburn and intro duce a third generation to Auburn traditions. It was a fun day and a great first day trip for my little Tiger!

there is a problem in my marriage. nick is die hard auburn, i, ofcourse, love the Tide. I guess it makes it a little easier that we are having two kids at one time but i just hate that our twin girls will be born with the pressure of having to root together for one or be split like their mommy and daddy. it must be nice to share in your love for your school WITH your husband!

Hey Carrie! I am so glad I found your blog (through a chain of a few others - ha!) What a sweet post and what a beautiful little boy you have. You always had such a sweet and tender spirit; I know you are a great mother to Noah. Anyway, I'm glad to see you're doing well!
