The Hello and Goodbye

This past weekend Emily and I took our boys to Auburn to say hello and goodbye to the Toomer's Oaks. It was Miller's first trip to Auburn. I am sad to say that he cried for most of it. But Emy and I enjoyed spending time together even though we were outnumbered. Rolling Toomer's is a huge part of my Auburn experience. I am saddened by the loss of the trees and what they mean to my large Auburn family. I hope that some solution can be thought of so that my boys can grow up with this family tradition. I also took lots of pictures. A good hello. And a sad goodbye.

The New Toy

Well here is the best thing about turning thirty..... my new toy.
For my birthday I requested money so I could purchase a DSLR camera. I love taking pictures and I think I am ready to step it up a bit. I was able to score a Canon EOS Xti on EBay. It is used but still in great condition. I am looking forward to having the time to really learn how to use it! Thank you to my awesome family for my present...I love it! Here are some of my first images playing around.

The Brother Shirts

My neighbor has the best knack for finding the cutest clothes for her three boys. One of her new matching sets when her third son was born came from Little Button Designs. These are heat press shirts, labels, placemats, bags, cups and so much more. I love them and if I had unlimited money I would dress the boys in them all the time. I did get to buy them these cute little/big brother shirts/romper from my EBay closet clean outs. It was a little difficult to get my sweet subjects to pose for a picture in them.

They are just too cute. Love them.

The Africa Trip

My dad will soon be making his way home from Meto, Kenya where he has been on a mission trip with Integrity Worldwide. My parents and their church have been working with Integrity Worldwide for a few years. Check out their website to learn more about them and my dad's trip. http://www.integrityworldwide.com/pages/projects/metomissioncenter-71/ I am super excited to hear all about my dad's trip and what he saw God do through this trip and group!

The Swing and Two Babies

The Pretty Weather

The weather has been awesome lately. Just the kind of week you need to pull you out of the winter funk and get you thinking about Spring. I love winter....for about a month. Nothing beats a cozy fire with a cup of hot coco or a brisk walk on a cold morning where the air clears your lungs. Except new growth, sunshine and seventy degree weather. We have enjoyed getting back outside with the neighbors. We hope the fresh air chases away all the lingering sickness.

Look at those lashes!

The Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is one of my favorite days of the year! A day to celebrate those you love and love in general. I decorated the boys' doors at the last minute. And they both woke up before I left for school so I got to see them open their cards and presents. I left in a rush and neither Adam nor I remembered that the keys to his car were in my car. So my three boys got an unexpected Daddy Son Day. Noah missed his school party which broke my heart, in an attempt to make it up to him I came home earlier than usual and we went to the park, library, and to get pizza. Adam surprised me with a sweet card and flowers and a gift card to EBay (which was the last little bit needed to combine with my birthday money to get my new camera!!!!!!! Coming any day now!!) What a great day spent with the ones I love!
Noah got the things he loves the most for Valentine's Day......Cars.

Homemade "hugs" from Noah to family. I think they came out cute!

The Championship Birthday

I turn thirty in just a few days. Yikes.
Saturday my amazingly sweet family threw me a birthday party. With a championship theme. Complete with a blow up Aubie, matching t-shirts, rolled trees, posters, shakers, tailgate spread, and Auburn cupcakes. I feel so spoiled and celebrated for all the attention paid to the AUsome theme. Like the shirts said my family was all in. I am so blessed to be a part of such a loving
supportive family. And look forward to spending another thirty years with them!! Thank you so much for Saturday and everyday!
